In the words of the late astronaut Alan B. Shepard, Jr.: "Light this candle!"
"This candle" is the Ares1-X.
The Ares1-X test flight now set to be launched from the Kennedy Space Center launch pad 39-B on Tuesday, October 27, 2009. The powerful text rocket stands errect in the large Vehicle Assembly Building at the cape. It is ready to fly suborbital and to measure any errors.
Each of the mission controllers should say the "Shepard's Prayer" then PUSH THE LAUNCH BUTTON --- so say 75% of the nearly 500 Spaceports Blogspot poll respondents.
Only 1 in 10 said to scrap the launch of the Ares-1 while 13% in 10 said they lacked information to make a decision as to the launch. So to the launch team: GO urinate or Tweet then: "Light this candle!" Let the public see what the new in-house NASA rocket does in flight.
