GSLV F-06 Explodes After Lift-off in India


ISRO's space program suffered a major setback today as the launch of advanced communication satellite GSAT-5P failed due to major technical fault in the first phase. The rocket geosynchronous satellite launch vehicle (GSLV) exploded mid-air moments after take-off from the Sriharikota rocket launch center. This is a back-to-back failure for the rocket and a significant setback for India's commercial space launch program.
