The video above provides an anamation of the moons AlexHelios (outer) and CleoSelene (inner) orbiting the parent dog-boned shape asteroid, (216) Kleopatra, over a period of three days in the main asteroid belt. The video animation is based on mutual orbits from Keck AO observations (Descamps et. al. 2011) and radar observations (Ostro et al. 2000). Credit: Franck Marchis and Pascal Descamps.
