Soyuz TMA-18 Makes Orbit on Way to ISS


American astronaut Tracy Caldwell Dyson and Russian cosmonauts Alexander Skvortsov and Mikhail Kornienko lifted-off [HD-Vid]successfully from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan Friday just after midnight Washington time. The four boosters on the first stage appeared to provide nominal performance as the Soyuz TMA-18 reached orbital velocity. The spacecraft will close-in to dock with the International Space Station over the weekend increasing the station crew to six humans. More from NASA Spaceflight.com. More from Russian TV.
