Space Storm Alert from New CME

A new solar space storm from a significant M-1 class coronal mass ejection [CME] is heading directly into the path of the Earth and will impact the planet's magnetosphere late today (Tuesday, 10 August 2010 and Wednesday) likely causing some anticipated minor disruptions to telecommunication signals. In recent studies, it is suggested that solar storms and Earthquakes may be linked.

The wave of electrically charged particles was sent out over the past weekend. New imagery from the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory suggests that part of the storm, or solar tsunami, was blown out in our direction. New bright Aurora Borealis displays are expected to reach well below the Artic Circle with displays of the northern lights appearing abnormally deep into the northern hemisphere.
