A
commercial space station relying on Atlas and Delta rockets could double to 2,000 the numbers of employees at United Launch Alliance’s plant in Decatur, Alabama says
Robert Bigelow, space entrepreneur and founder of
Bigelow Aerospace. If Bigelow can achieve his goal to have two space stations operational in low Earth orbit by 2017, he said 24 flights annually will be needed to shuttle crews and supplies, reports the
Decatur Daily. More on this story from
The Huntsville Times,
WAFF-TV News, and
WHNT-TV News.
At a potential of
24 flights a year by Bieglow Aerospace alone,
Wallops Island, Va. and
Cape Canaveral, Fla. would both be busy - all eyes looking upward with
commercial, civil and military launch campaigns.
