The interview with Dr. Reed begins about 1 hr, 4 min. into the show recording.Reed discusses the orbital commercial spaceport launch manifest, human launch potential from Virginia, innovative Virginia state laws to boost commercial launches from Virginia, and the status of the spaceport as a foreign trade zone and enterprise zone.
Dr. Reed discusses how a commercial space launch provider gets rocket hardware to the Wallops Island commercial spaceport, which includes highway, water and rail access. The spaceport director notes that he has been in talks with suborbital commercial space launch providers.
